The EMEA Credit Forum ("ECF") was originally formed and held its inaugural meeting in 1998.
Meetings concentrate on trading in specific geographic areas as well as other topics which are decided by the members.
The membership continues to expand with major ICT Manufacturers, Distributors and Service Providers as members.
The background to forming the ECF is the success of the CMIG (the Computer Manufacturers Industry Group), which is a UK based group, formed in March 1991, at which the senior credit professionals from the major UK computer vendors meet.
The ECF is not a credit circle as it does not follow the normal pattern of exchanging payment experiences. The focus is on Business & Credit topics as well as Best Demonstrated Practices.
The ECF is now recognised as the premier forum for the IT industry trading in the EMEA arena.
